Conn-Selmer Institute Announces Fennell and Bonade Books Now Available

Conn-Selmer Institute, the educational arm of the largest manufacturer of band and orchestral instruments and accessories in the United States, Conn-Selmer, Inc., recently partnered with new publishers to make classic literature by Fredrick Fennell and Daniel Bonade available for a new generation to appreciate. The Complete Daniel Bonade, published by Rivernote Press in Stony Point, New York, is comprised of Clarinetist’s Compendium, Sixteen Phrasing Studies for Clarinet, and Bonade Orchestral Studies for Clarinet. This is the first time these three masterworks have been combined to create one volume. This collection is considered to be one of the essential reads for every clarinetist.

After years of requests by musicians, Conn-Selmer has also reissued Time and the Winds by Fredrick Fennell through your favorite bookstore. Time and the Winds is a short history of the use of wind instruments in the orchestra, band and wind ensemble. In high demand by music educators around the world, this piece will be available starting in October of 2007.

These publications were acquired by Conn-Selmer with the purchase of the G. Leblanc. In an effort to make them available to more musicians, the Company has license the publication rights to these publishers. Additional educational resources can be found through the Conn-Selmer Institute website, www.csinstitute.org.
