Clarence Hines is an Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of North Florida. He is an active performer, composer, and arranger. His recent performances include shows with The OJays, David Sanborn, Maceo Parker and others. Clarence has also performed in festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands), the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, and the Jacksonville Jazz Festival. His commissions have been premiered at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Midwest Clinic, the Festival Les Rendez-vous de l\'Erdre (Nantes, France), the International Association for Jazz Education Conference, and the International Tuba- Euphonium Conference. Many of his compositions and arrangements are available through UNC Jazz Press, Really Good Music, and eJazzLines. Clarence is also an artist for Conn-Selmer and plays C.G. Conn trombones exclusively.
