Missouri’s Ellington High School Becomes a Conn-Selmer All-American School
Ellington High School in Ellington, Missouri joined Conn-Selmer as an All-American School earlier this year. This program provides quality instruments to all students for their success in musical performance. With this special relationship, the Conn-Selmer program assists in educational and fiscal resources, improving quality to reach the full potential of excellence.
Mr. John Kerley Jr., Director of Music and Bands at Ellington High School sees, “The Conn-Selmer program as there to help schools promote music in schools.” He also added, “The quality of the instruments benefits not only the music program but also gives the students great quality instruments to perform on. This program is designed for programs that are well established or programs that are rebuilding. The staff at Conn-Selmer is there to answer all questions and to make this program run super smooth. We are very fortunate and honored to be working with the Conn-Selmer Company. We are very thankful for the boost this program has given to our band program.”
“Our All-American School program assists in providing the resources for the students to learn superior skills and be better prepared for success in music,” said Grant Johnston, Division of Education Program Coordinator at Conn-Selmer. The six year program helps to establish the school system as a leader in music and music education. The program also includes scholarships and educational opportunities for the band program.

Mt. Whitney High School Becomes a Conn-Selmer All-American School
Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California joined Conn-Selmer as an All-American School earlier this year. "We are thrilled to welcome Mt. Whitney High School and Band Director Jordan Ray to our acclaimed list of Conn-Selmer All-American Schools. It is a privilege and an honor to join in this beneficial partnership supporting artistic excellence in every aspect of the music program. Everyone who is part of the Mt. Whitney community can be justly proud of this special recognition; here's to a great future of mutual success," commented Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, Vice President of Education.
“Mt. Whitney was in desperate need of new instruments and Conn-Selmer’s All-American School program was our best option. The quality instruments give our students years of performance opportunities and as well a boost in the morale and excitement that comes with new equipment,” said Jordan Ray.
Jordan Ray also remarked, “I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work with Conn-Selmer. Every staff member that I have had the pleasure of contacting has been knowledgeable, courteous, and generally interested in the growth of my program and as a result, our partnership has created an instrument inventory that will last many years. Big thank you to Conn-Selmer for not only promoting music in our schools but helping schools like Mt. Whitney maintain and build our instrumental programs.”
